Box Top's Winners!

Our Classroom Box Tops Competition winner was Ms. Louer's 2nd Grade Class. They brought in a total of 1,023 Box Tops! Our other top classes were:

Kindergarten: Ms. Finocchiaro and Mrs. Pitts- 414

First Grade: Mrs. D. Taylor- 693

Third Grade: Ms. Bailey and Mrs. Walker- 882

Fourth Grade: Ms. Durant and Ms. Furr- 881

Fifth Grade: Mrs. Stitz - 480

Ms. Louer's class receive a Pizza Party provided by PTA. The other grade level winners will receive a Popsicle party.

The total amount of Box Tops turned in at Chimne:y Lakes Elementary is 14,031. That is $1,403.10 that will go to the school. PTA would like to give a big THANK YOU to all of those who participated. We made as much in these past two months, as we did in all of last year. We could not have done it without you!

Remember to continue to save your Box Tops, because we will have another competition in the spring.

Lost and Found

The PTA room is the site for our school's lost and found. We currently have quite a lot of jackets and lunch boxes. These items are only kept for the nine week grading period, then they are donated to a local charity. If your student is missing something please come to the PTA room (Room 57 right across the from the cafeteria) and see if we have it. All unclaimed items will be donated on Monday November 8th.

Please also remember to label all of your student's personal belongings so that they may be returned when they are given to us.

Fun Friday's

PTA has begun Fun Friday's at the school. Two Friday's a month the administration draws four classes from a random drawing, and those classes receive a popcorn party furnished by the PTA. We want to recognize the hard work that our teachers and students put in each week, and give them a little something fun on Friday's. Each class will be recognized by the time the school year is over. So ask your student if they have been the lucky ones yet?!



Capri Sun and Drink Pouches

PTA is collecting Capri Sun and other drink pouches such as Kool-Aid , Honest Kids, and Minute Maid. We send them to a recycling company, and receive money for them. Not only are we earning money for our school, we are also helping the planet. Since the beginning of school we have recycled 3,000 drink pouches!

We collect them at lunch time, and from class parties and such. So if you would have any you would like to donate, please send them in with your child.

Help us earn some "Green" by being "Green"!

Fundraiser Due Dates

This is just a reminder that Fundraiser Packets are due on Monday September 27th. The Monetary Donation envelopes are due Friday October 1st.

Box Tops Competition

For our classroom competition we are sending home these Box Tops sheets. Look for them in your students backpack. Fill them up and return them to your child's teacher, and your child will be entered into our Friday drawing for a prize. Each of these drawings will have five winners, and be every Friday during the month of October. Our classroom competition will end on October 29th.

Come and look for the PTA Table, just inside the door. The class with the most kids attending receives a pizza party. Sign the poster and help your class win the pizza party. Bring the entire family for a night of fun!

Fall Fundraiser

You spoke and we listened! Thank you to all who filled out or fundraiser survey. Our Fall Fundraiser is in full swing, with both a traditional catalog and a monetary donation way to support our school. Which ever way you decide to give, please know that your money is very much needed and appreciated. We could not run this great school, and provide the kids with the great programs they deserve without your help. Let's make this a great fundraiser! Thank you in advance for all your help.

We have begun our classroom Box Tops Contest. We have had a lot turned in, and we are looking for a lot more. The class who collects the most Box Tops will win a pizza party furnished by the PTA. Remember to send them in with your child with their class name attached. And watch for updates to see how we are doing. The contest will run through October 29th. So send in those Box Tops and help our school raise some much needed money!
